DAY 2: Frankfurt - Rothenburg - Dinkelsbühl (B)
After breakfast you are driving along the Autobahn A3 towards Würzburg through the Spessart mountains. Following the scenic Taubervalley, passing by small, historical villages you arrive at Rothenburg o.d. Tauber, the medieval jewel of Germany, where at 2:00 p.m., starting at the city hall, you may join the city walk. From there it is just a short ride to Dinkelsbühl, the former Free Imperial Town, surrounded by ancient town walls which you will explore when you accompany the Night Watchman in the evening. Overnight at Hotel Gold ene Kanne or similar.
DAY 3: Dinkelsbühl - Nördlingen - Augsburg (B)
In the morning you are heading south to Nördlingen, the only town in Germany, where you can walk the walls and battlements all the way round, the historical old town is dominated by the 100 yard high bell tower of St. George church. Your next stop is Augsburg - found ed more than 200 years ago by the Roman Emperor Augustus. Join a city tour, starting at 10:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. from the city hall. Overnight at Hotel InterCityHotel or similar.
DAY 4: Augsburg - Wies - Hohenschwangau (B)
After breakfast you are following the Romantic Road heading to the Alps, where the first stop will be at the Wies Church, another architectural treasure and the most beautiful rococo church of Bavaria. The Romantic Roads ends in Füssen and only 3 km away is Hohenschwangau with the Royal Castles. Upon check-in at Hotel Müller you will receive your tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle. (Please note that latest admission is at 3:30 p.m.!) Overnight at Hotel Müller or similar.
DAY 5: Hohenschwangau (B)
Tour ends with breakfast. If not done the day before, you will visit Neuschwanstein Castle today.

On your way from Würzburg to Füssen you cycle through three of Germany’s most enchanting holiday areas – Franconia, Swabia & Upper Bavaria. The cycle route runs mainly through gently undulating countryside, at first along the Rivers Tauber & Wörnitz before it crosses the Danube & heads south. Apart from a few “pushing” sections, most of the route is characterised by gentle climbs, well-made cycle tracks and quiet local roads. Right in the south, the route becomes somewhat hillier but still is suitable for normal bicycles and less athletic cyclist.
ITINERARY:
As all cyclists are different in their skills, we made the experience, that it is better to offer a rate that covers a certain number of days – with the possibility of adding additional days – then to offer a certain itinerary. Send us the mileage you want to cycle per day, which part of the Romantic Road you want to visit and how many days you have and we will offer you a customized itinerary.
ACCOMMODATION:
We are using local, typical tourist & tourist superior hotels and inns, which offer all necessary amenities for cyclists. In the tour rate breakfast always is included.
LUGGAGE TRANSPORTATION:
Your luggage will be transferred from each hotel to the next. Please make sure that you store it at the reception latest by 9:00 am. As the final pick up time depends on the number of hotels our supplier has to deliver, we guarantee that you luggage will be at your hotel latest by 5:00 pm.
BICYCLES:
For those of you who do not want to use their own bicycles, we offer you to rent one. These are street worthy all terrain bikes with seven gear transmission, lights & baggage holder. Please don’t forget to bring your helmet, as they are mandatory in Germany and can not be rented for hygienic reason. Please note that if the starting & ending point is not the same, we will have to charge an extra day for the transportation of the bike back to the starting point.
TRANSPORTATION:
In case starting & ending point of your cycling tour is not the same, we offer the possibility (from May until mid October) to bring you and the bikes back to the starting point with our regular coach along the Romantic Road, which offers also the capability for bicycle transportation.

Your are leaving Munich in the morning and your first stop will be Linderhof Castle for a visit of approximately one hour (unfortunately time does not allow to visit the Moorish pavilion and grotto). Next is a short stop in Oberammergau before continuing your journey towards Hohenschwangau. Your tour guide will provide you with the entrance tickets to the castles Linderhof and Neuschwanstein.
