Romantic Road Bus
The buses that travel seasonally along the Romantic Road are a tradition for almost 70 years. Most visitors to Europe have a tight schedule on their journey through Europe, on which Germany's oldest holiday road is an integral part. In order to meet the requirements of international guests, the timetable has been specially adapted to those needs.
Frankfurt - Rothenburg o.d.T. - Munich
A bus runs on Wednesdays and Sundays on the route from Frankfurt via Rothenburg ob der Tauber to Munich from April 29 to October 4, 2020 and Saturdays from May 2 to September 5, 2020 with connections to the DB rail network in Nördlingen and Donauwörth, from where Augsburg and Füssen can be reached.
From Munich to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the bus service operates on Wednesdays and Sundays from April 1 to October 28, 2020 and on Saturdays from May 2 to September 5, 2020. This offer is also aimed at day-outing visitors from Munich who have the opportunity in the morning to visit the Harburg. Travelers from Frankfurt can experience a guided tour of Weikersheim Castle on their way to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and discover the official starting and ending point of the Romantic Road at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Würzburg Residenz on the way back.

Day trips from/to Frankfurt and from/to Munich
Passengers traveling across southern Germany in just one day are offered a convenient transfer in Rothenburg ob der Tauber (in both directions). The numerous other cities and towns of the Romantic Road are served if requested, whereby a reservation is required 36 hours before departure.
In addition to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Wertheim Village Outlet, the Franconian metropolis Würzburg, the spa city Bad Mergentheim, the wine region of Markelsheim and the residential town Weikersheim are worthwhile destinations for a day trip from/to Frankfurt. Impressive is also the pristine nature along the Romantic Road, where you can also cover stages, such as from Röttingen to Creglingen.
Travelers from Munich also have many options, such as the medieval towns Nördlingen or Dinkelsbühl. The festival town of Feuchtwangen and the castle of the princes of Hohenlohe Schillingsfürst on the Frankenhöhe are other gems on the Romantic Road. The stay in the respective place can be selected individually by the guest, on all traffic days the distance is served in both directions. In Würzburg, Markelsheim, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Nördlingen and Donauwörth there are train stations which offer the individual traveler options for travel planning.
