Lecherlebnisweg
Cyclists and hikers are in the right place in Landsberg am Lech – whether as a stopover or starting point for a wide variety of tours. Start here e.g. B. with the Lecherlebnisweg, which leads in five stages from Landsberg am Lech to Füssen and enables a hike through the beautiful river and lake landscape of the Lech. Natural river sections, reflecting lakes, cozy villages and the historic old towns of Landsberg, Schongau and Füssen form the picturesque backdrop of this long-distance hiking trail.
Lechpark and Lechhöhenweg
But there is also a more comfortable way. Discover the Lechpark with a stop at the Teufelskueche excursion restaurant on a hike and stroll back to the old town of Landsberg via the Lechhöhenweg.
Along the rushing Lech
The same goes for cyclists. Always along the rushing Lech there are wonderful nature experiences both to the north (towards Augsburg via Kaufering and Scheuring) and to the south (towards Füssen via Hohenfurch and Schongau).
Lechradweg
For a total of 245 km, follow the new signposted in 2022 Lechradweg through a wide variety of landscapes, always along the multi-faceted wild river and with exciting excursion options, such as here to the Blue Lagoon in Landsberg.
To the Ammersee
But the Ammersee, only 20 km east of Landsberg, is always worth a hike or a long bike ride. A popular hike is the so-called Riederauer Runde with a length of 13 km. The starting point is the train station in the Dießen district of Riederau. Along the Ammersee and through the old artists’ village of Holzhausen am Ammersee (artists’ house Gasteiger!), the tour takes you along the Ammersee-Höhenweg through forests back to Riederau.
