Bad Mergentheim is where three major wine-growing regions come together. Markelsheim, a district of Bad Mergentheim, is located in the Württemberg wine-growing region. Along with the usual grape varieties there is also a rarity – the Tauber black [Tauberschwarz ] – that is grown only in the Tauber Valley.
